The Asian Champions League 2020 (AFC Champions League 2018) is the 39th Asian top intercontinental club event. As the 18th Asian Championship League, this competition is held by the Asian Football Federation. In this season, the qualification and semi-finals of the Asian Champions League are divided into East Asia and West Asia. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups (four in East Asia and four in West Asia), with the top two in each group going to the top 16. The home away two round elimination system is adopted for the top 16, the top 8, the semi-final and the final. If the total score of the two rounds is even, the 30 minute overtime will be entered; the winner in the overtime will win the championship. If the overtime match is even, the penalty kick will be made.The champion of the Asian Champions League will directly obtain the qualification of the next year’s Champions League. The two teams entering the final, the champions of East Asia and West Asia, will be directly qualified for the World Club Cup.Johor in group G of the Asian Championship League 2020 will withdraw from the competition due to the problem of COVID-19 prevention.
